The Cal-SOAP project is administered by the California Student Aid Commision (CSAC). Individual projects apply each year for continued state funding. State funding must be matched by an equal or higher level of matching resources by consortium member.
The Mission of the South County Cal-SOAP Consortium is to provide access to low-income and first-generation students who have the potential to succeed in post-secondary education. Cal-SOAP is committed to advising, informing and exposing students and their parents to post-secondary opportunities and resources.
Together, with our sponsors and the staff members of four school districts (ASJUSD, GUSD, MHUSD, & SBHSD) South County Cal-SOAP is proud to report an 85.34% college going rate!! After School Tutoring Centers, SAT preparation, Financial Aid Education, Academic & General Advisement is provided by our staff for over 10,000 students and parents in the South County region!
We are an outreach program run by the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC).
